Coco peat is one of the products most exported from India and Sri Lanka. Coco peat is used mostly for agricultural cultivation, fertilizer, animal food and occasionally is used for animal nest. From 01 - 12/2013, Sri Lanka has exported 143 911 tons of coco peat, doubled compared to the exports of coconut fiber and coconut fiber of its kind. On the other hand, India also exported 271 495 tons of coco peat, reaching about 51% of the total exports of the country
